With her satiny voice and impeccable characterizations, Cindy
Salder is a force to be reckoned with on the operatic scene. Her
professional debut occurred in 1991 concerts at the Lyric Opera of
Chicago. She went on to win international acclaim for her
performances in Arizona Opera's Ring Cycles, where as the only cast
member to sing in all four operas where she "knocked 'em
dead" (Opera News)
Most recently, she has been noted for her performance as Katisha in
Syracuse Opera's production of The Mikado, where she "forged the
perfect marriage of acting and vocal expression"; for her role as the the
Principessa in San Antonio Opera's Suor Angelica, where she
"commanded the stage"; as well as for her "riotous" and "saucy"
Marcellina in The Marriage of Figaro at Des Moines Metro Opera.
