The Elixir of Love
by Gaetano Donizetti
sung in Italian with English surtitles

Local loser Nemorino can't get a date, that is until his uncle dies and leaves him awash in riches. Unfortunately for him, he's clueless to his new wealth, because he's tipsy with love for barkeep Adina—and from that "magic potion" that Dr. Dulcamara claims will make Adina fall head over heels. Too bad local bad boy Sheriff Belcore keeps turning Anina's eye, and too bad Dulcamara's elixir is just a cheap bottle of wine.

This summer, Sugar Creek takes Donizetti's comedic classic and places it in a small dusty town of the Wild West.

Will Nemorino get his girl? Find out this August at Sugar Creek Symphony & Song!
